Longton Community Church:

Is looking for a Part time Youth and Community Worker

We are a pioneering church committed to demonstrating Gods love in our community. We recognise that our future lies in seeing young people come to their full potential. We are therefore recruiting an exceptional person to be our first youth and community worker.

You are an experienced youth worker with a passion for young people and the drive to see this project succeed.

You will:
· develop an existing community youth group with a specific focus on empowering young people to make a difference in Longton
· have a key role in creating and developing links between the church, young people and the local community
· play an important part in the life of Longton Community Church helping to connect the generations

Hours: 15 hours per week
Salary: £17,000 to £19,000 pro rata depending on experience

This project is funded for one year through the Faith in Action programme administered by CDF for Communities and Local Government

The YMCA is a developing Association currently providing, accommodation, training, recreation and sports programmes.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about working with young people. The Job role has two major themes; i)To develop a dialogue with young people about faith, ii) to strengthen our links with the faith communities.

Volunteer Refugee Mentor
The Centre for Equality and Diversity is looking for volunteer refugee mentors to support and empower their mentee to each their full potential in the U.K in a one-to-one mentoring relationship.

As a volunteer mentor you would be:
Meeting with your mentee regularly for a minimum of 5 hours a month for 6-10 months.
Setting achievable goals together with the mentee.
Putting together an Action Plan which sets out how the goals will be achieved.

We are looking for mentors with the following personal skills:

North Staffs Youth for Christ

North Staffs Youth for Christ are looking for a volunteer to become their new treasurer, who will take the lead in overseeing the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure that proper records and procedures are maintained.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for reaching young people in North Staffs with the good news of Jesus; who will work with the rest of the team and be willing to attend bi-monthly meetings of the NSYFC exec in an advisory capacity.
