‘GLIMPSES OF HEAVEN’

‘GLIMPSES OF HEAVEN’
IGNITE ONE DAY LOCAL CONFERENCE
Friday 20 June
Special guests include Miguel Escobar from Chile, Scott McDermott & Perry Dalton from USA.
Miguel, Scott & Perry have spoken at local & national Ignite events before and are used by God in both teaching God’s word and ministering in the power of the Spirit. This will be a great opportunity to be refreshed in faith and equipped for mission.

Sessions: 10.30am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm, 7.30pm.
Cost: £15 per person, includes light lunch.

VENUE: Tunstall Methodist Church, Queens Ave, Tunstall. ST6 6EE (large car park to rear)
From Rev William Porter (Beacon House of Prayer & Ignite Revival Network)
"We are very excited about these conferences in the season of Holy Spirit activity right now. There is an amazing outpouring in Florida that you may well know about. Karen & I have just returned from the healing revival meetings there and are amazed at what God is doing. Thousands are coming to catch fresh fire and take it home to impact their communities. It seems that God is raising the spiritual temperature in the nations and asking the church to step out in faith for more kingdom breakthrough. We are expectant that these Ignite conferences will carry the same fire of the Spirit. Come and share in them and bring a friend!"

Operation Nemesis

'OPERATION NEMESIS' UNCOVERS TWO MORE CANNABIS FACTORIES

Thanks to information received from members of the public, two more cannabis factories in North Staffordshire have been uncovered by police, one in Tunstall and the other in Newcastle.

Supt Bernie O’Reilly, of Stoke-on-Trent division, said: “Thanks to information received from members of the public we have uncovered a further two cannabis factories, and stopped drugs from getting onto the streets. Operation Nemesis is a dedicated campaign by Staffordshire Police to get drug dealers off the streets, and we will continue to take action against offenders who operate in this county.”

Police are continuing to appeal for information about the supply of drugs and urge anyone with information to call them on 08453 302010 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Refuge & Asylum public meeting

Refugee and Asylum public meeting

Invitation from Hughie Lawrence
I am pleased to invite you to a further public meeting to clarify and hopefully resolve refugee and asylum issues. We would welcome your attendance and contribution to this debate. Issues include:
How the Refugee and Asylum Seekers System operates,
The involvement of the Police and Immigration Officers,
The decision making process prior to a warranted home visit,
The need for assurance that this will be dealt with sensitively and fairly, that people affected by it may have redress,
The role of other agencies in the process and
What consideration is given to process prior to the detention of a person?
At the meeting Chief Superintendent Jane Sawyer from Staffordshire Police, Alison Sponge from Immigration and Border Control, Local Government, Local Church representatives, various interest groups as well as the general public will be in attendance. Please could you inform others who may have an interest in this important issue .

The meeting will be held at North Staffordshire African Caribbean Association (NORSACA), Lindsey Annexe, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs ST1 4EP on Weds 25 June 2008 @ 7pm
