Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation
Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 8.30am to 11.15am
venue St Marks Shelton, Broad Street, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 3BQ
This Saturday our area will be the location for a British National Party rally in the city to which BNP activists from across the country will meet together.
We are pleased to be able to inform you that, also on Saturday, local Christians will be holding a special morning prayer event:
Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation in Stoke-On-Trent
Venue: St Mark's Shelton, Broad Street, S-o-T. ST1 3BQ
Date: Sat 20 Sept
Time: 8.30am - 11.15am
There will be short times of led prayers at 9.00, 10.00, and 11.00am.
At other times people will be able to pray at various prayer stations, focussing on different aspects of peace in our city and world.
Please do come and intercede for our communities. Please also invite others.

The Saltbox's pioneering work in & beyond Stoke-on-Trent has grown considerably in the last two years.
As a result we are now looking to recruit a receptionist/admin assistant. The successful candidate will be friendly & efficient, providing a range of reception & administration support for the Saltbox’s strategic work.
This is a full-time post with a salary of £13,650.

Saltbox launches PhoneLink which will provide a free, city-wide, telephone-out befriending and support service for the elderly, socially isolated and vulnerable people within our communities - 7 days a week/365 days a year.

What is PhoneLink?
It is.......
· A befriending service, which will seek to build and maintain the confidence and well-being of older, vulnerable and less able people.
· A support service, encouraging and supporting independence at home and promoting engagement in other community activities.
· An informal monitoring service, that monitors the
well-being of the PhonePal, being aware of significant changes in health and well-being and taking appropriate action.
· A signposting service, to provide the option of information about other agencies and service providers.
· A low-level advocacy service, making connections with other providers to help solve unresolved issues raised by the PhonePal.
· Faith linkage, offering the opportunity to connect with a local faith community for pastoral and/or spiritual support.
